About me

Anna - mainly known as annaamei or Soup, is a 20 year old musician based in Gold Coast Australia. Anna states that she grew up surrounded by music and spent most of her spare time on hobbies that that revolved around it. From classical ballet at 3 years old, piano lessons at 4 years old and joining choirs from 6 years old, she developed quite a strong passion for music.Anna has been studying music for over 17 years now, including music performance, production, composition/notation and music in media. After years of practice she has finally decided it is time to share her creations with us all.

for you‘For You’ was written in october 2020 and released June 2023. The lyrics were heavily inspired by the song ‘From the Gallows’ by I Don’t Know How But They Found Me. ‘For You’ focuses on the emotional stages of devoting yourself to someone who doesn’t feel love for you but instead see's you as their property.

pleasant bones'Pleasant Bones', written in September 2020 and recorded live on the 02/12/20 Is a dark foreboding song about a sudden yet tragic murder. After a husband has surrounded his life with empty bottles he loses self control and gruesomely takes his wife's life away.
In the background you can hear a light and haunting haunting voice with a twist of lyrics portraying the wife and her perspective in the song.
